Beautiful geologic wonder! I've visited many times and am always pleased with what I see. I recommend looking up current water levels online before visiting as they vary day to day and can really effect what you see when you get there. Try to visit when the water is as low as possible, much more of the fossil beds are exposed then. Also, it's fun to check out the old railroad bridge and Army Corps' dam. The force of water flowing through the gates can be tremendously impressive!
I took a two day Survival class by Naturalist Dale Brown this past weekend it was amazing. I learned so much more than I could have imagined. This information will come in handy for anyone not just someone in a survival situation. Wow! The Falls offer a great place for families, those interested in the fossil beds and the geology of the area there are programs and classes too! All of the Naturalist at the park knowledgeable and offer classes and tours for Schools. Visit the falls of the Ohio State Park today!
Loved it! The lady behind the counter could've been more pleasant. Definitely would go back.
Great place to hike around and educate the kids. Also have had great luck fishing. Best to hike when lower McAlpin levels are 20 or below. Always fun fishing
