Seen the eclipse there. It was an awesome place!!!
I came here for 4 days and 4 nights to watch the total solar eclipse in August 2017. I had an amazing experience. The creek is beautiful. Both of my daughters and myself really enjoyed swimming in it. The showers were nice. The water was hot and the water pressure was good (that's all I ask out of camping showers). The bathrooms were clean and always stocked with soap and toilet paper. This says a lot considering how many people were at the campground this weekend! The owners were so friendly and constantly asking what they can do to make it better. You're only 5 minutes from the main drag in Clarksville, TN and less than an hour from Nashville, but you'd never guess considering how quiet and remote it feels once you drive down the access road.
Good spacing and all but bathrooms are a little unclean. I have seen worse though.
Just be sure to have details ironclad. If one is planning on a multiparty site, don't waste the effort. The charge is the same as having a site per each sleeping tent or unit. Other than that, staff is pleasant and the patriarch is great. Would love to sit and soak up a campfire with him!
The office is old and mildew smelling. Not always someone there. Bathrooms were very run down. Won't stay here again. Lots of long term renters.
