Damaged our goods and were not physically fit enough to do the job. One guy was about to have a heart attack. Very disappointed after having felt confident during the intial phone call quite in their abilities. They had no strategy. 4 hours to move 200 yds up the road in the same apartment complex. The 2 stars is because the gentleman were kind at least. Just not good for our move. Also the obese guy was sick/ill and clogged our toilet.
They were several hours late and damaged 2 sofas and a new refrigerator. I sent pictures of the damage as requested, but Charles Mancini (owner) would not respond, claiming repeatedly that he had not received them. Then when I called to follow up, he yelled at me and told me to never call him again and to sue them. I also find it very interesting that he reviewed his own company here and gave them 5 stars. I wonder how many of the reviews here are ones such as that to bring up their rating level. I would not recommend using this company EVER!
Horrible move. Was suppose to be there at 9:00 a.m. and didn't show up till 6 hours later. Movers were already tired because they moved someone else in the morning and had not slept due to their night jobs. Were slow and complained alot. It was dark and the job wasn't finished. I rented a truck but because it was getting late I also used their truck. They took some things to storage but after said they couldn't take the truck into Gunthrie KY which was only 13 miles away. Next morning my son and I had to move the rest because the owner refused to send anyone to help. Total ripoff. Don't use them. Definitely don't pay up front.
I would rather drag my furniture across town alone than hire Gentle Movers ever again.
Quite possibly the worst moving company ever. Certainly one of the worst I've ever used. They claimed they had boxes available, and packed loose items- they don't. However, as I was deploying in less than a week, I had no choice but to take what I can get and not turn them away. They dragged my furniture down the steps, knocking it against railings and doorways with no care. When it began to hail, they thought it best in carrying out my leather couches without cover- resulting in damage of course. Once they moved all the furniture to the storage unit I told them that items had been damaged and I wanted compensation- they took their payment and said their manager would contact me with claims paperwork. He never did. Not only was I ignored, but whenever I called, they simply did not answer, nor did they return my messages. They just waited until I was overseas and no longer their problem.
If I could give them a negative star, I would!To say my experience was terrible would be an understatement.They showed up late,didn't even have a moving truck (only a flatbed trailer) to move my ENTIRE house. They broke one piece of furniture into a hundred pieces and busted my window frame.James claimed he would pay for it and then started ignoring our calls.The title of this company couldn't be more opposite.James was ridiculous and clearing didn't want to take responsibility for what HIS workers did.This company should be shut down. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!On top of everything, one of the workers who showed up had never moved a piece of furniture in his life and had the nerve to admit it.We ended up doing 90% of the work. Gentle movers is the worst company I have ever dealt with, find someone else who will actually take care of your things!!!
