My roommate and I went to Shoney’s today for Thanksgiving. We got in our booth promptly and our drinks were delivered very fast and we didn’t see the waitress again at all. Now I know that it’s Thanksgiving but they were busy but they were not that busy. We couldn’t get our drinks refilled our plate sat at the table. It was very poor service. Other tables got refills on their drinks they got very prompt service and we got nothing. We didn’t even get our check.
Got right in even though they were packed. Breakfast buffet was well stocked. Everything taste great. Staff were all attentive and very friendly even while running crazy with so many customers.
What a nice way to start the new year
I arrived at 8:30pm (with only 30 minutes until closing) after working a very long day coming from Pensacola and I was treated with such outstanding hospitality. Don Dalton and Gayle Logan treated me like I was family and insisted that I take some to go. I was already full, but Don didn't care. Their main concern was that I was fed. Good job to the both of you. This is "THE BEST" Shoney's I have ever visited. 8:30pm and the food was still fresh and juicy
I was very good today. The deep fried fish was delicious and not at all greasy.
I stopped here with my sister and her family for a late lunch mainly because the parking lot was empty so we knew we should get quick service. I was blown away by the courteous staff, the eagerness to please and their flexibility in offering us the dinner buffet at the breakfast price - perhaps the fact that we were their only customers played into that but who knows. The selection wasn't that broad since they were still preparing it for dinner hours but there was still adequate choices and what I had was good. I think folks should give Shoney's another try, it was so popular back in it's heyday and deserves another chance.
