Workers were nice and prepared for a heavy visit from people seeing the solar eclipse. The pool wasn't working, I didn't care but maybe others did. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the best looking rooms but we had a comfortable night sleep
Gateway Inn & Suites is right off I24. Along with several other hotels. Except Gateway Inn allows pets for a $10.00 fee per night. I had my 13 year old pitbull and I would never stay anywhere if she isn't welcomed. The rates at Gateway Inn were reasonable. The room was supposed to have an ironing board and an iron.. The board was there, the iron was M.I.A. That sucked cause I depended on it being there since clothes were packed tightly and naturally, was quite wrinkled. Thinking about it now, I suppose I could've checked with front desk personnel to see if a spare was available. The room was clean not by my standards, but it was decent. I noticed black mold in the bathroom. Office called our room 30 minutes before checkout to ask if we are still checking out at 11. (Weird) I said we may need a few extra minutes, and asked for 11:30 checkout. She informed me the latest she will give me is 11:15. I'm assuming they'd charge my credit card if we didn't leave by 11:15. I forgot to mention my reservation said check in is 1:00 p.m. I called to verify as i got closer to the exit. They said it might be 3:00 cause they were fully booked the night before. I didn't like that. I feel like people with reservations should get the first cleaned rooms. I know housekeeping starts their day at 8 a.m. if they don't have any cleaned rooms by 1:00 p.m. I would look to hire a brand new cleaning crew.
Dirty, smelled, smoke damaged, junk splattered all over mirror, bathtub cracked, toilet didn't flush, light bulbs out, hair dryer didn't work, and AC didn't COOL!!!
It's a good motel for the price
Pool not working but room was clean for a 2 star. Tv was kinda blurry as well. Breakfast only cereal and a honey bun.
